CRPG attends Reception for HRH The Princess Royal

Ms Wendy Nash, Support Manager, CRPG, was invited to attend a reception at the High Commissioner’s Residence on the occasion of the visit to Cyprus of HRH The Princess Royal on the 10 January 2023.

Her Royal Highness was interested to hear of the work that CRPG does to assist UK Nationals living in Cyprus, particularly vulnerable individuals, who would not normally have access to direct help and assistance.

Princess Anne is in Cyprus on the invitation of the Royal Logistic Corps, as their colonel-in-chief, to tour a section of the U.N.-controlled buffer zone where members of the Royal Logistics Corps are acting as peacekeepers within the UN Force stationed on the Island. In addition, to mark the many Commonwealth soldiers who died in conflicts including both world wars, the Princess laid a wreath at the Waynes Keep military cemetery in the UN controlled buffer zone. Princess Anne also visited His Excellency President Nicos Anastasiades, when it is understood they discussed climate change-related issues, the energy crisis spurred by Russia’s war in Ukraine and efforts to restart stalled talks to reunify Cyprus.
