This impacts many people, both UK nationals and dual nationals. In particular, dual UK/Cypriot nationals need to be aware of this change in the regulations.

- Non-UK passport holders must have an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)
- UK passport holders must have a valid UK passport and can only travel into the UK using their UK passport.
- Dual national UK and another country passport holders MUST travel on their valid UK passport.
- Irish nationals travelling on an Irish passport do not need an ETA
- Dual national UK and another country passport holders who do not have a valid UK passport can travel on their foreign passport if they have applied for and obtained a “Certificate of Entitlement” before their travel date.
- Carriers will not allow individuals to board the plane without the necessary documents.
